Born and raised in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, Alison has a background in make-up artistry, zine making, costume design and art education for over ten years. A visual artist since childhood, she's created illustrations and pieces of art that spoke to her soul. Her desire is to embark on a journey with YNY that allows participants to internalize what they see and reflect or relate to their own emotions; while using poetry and imagery to convey these ideas in the form of mixed media, and collage work. Art is a personal expression that has the ability to heal. Her time spent in studio residency with artists in transit this past year has expanded that vision further.
